ABOUT DUSTIN JAMES, MD
Dustin G. James, MD graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York with honors and distinction before receiving his medical training in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at Washington University School of Medicine, currently ranked as the #3 medical center in the nation by US News and World Report. Throughout his education, he has received numerous awards related to academic performance, as well as teaching excellence, of which he is most proud of the later.
He has also designed and published multiple medical investigations covering topics from Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, to colon polyps and amyloidosis of the gastrointestinal tract.
At his clinical practice, he specializes in many common and rare disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and liver including Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and liver disorders, such as fatty liver and hepatitis C.
In 2010, he authored a national book, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Digestive Health, published by Penguin Publishing Group, which aims to provide an easy-to-read and informative guide to digestive health, diseases, and treatments. He also regularly participates as an expert in national media regarding issues related to digestive health, including Woman’s World Magazine, the John Tesh show, Health & Wellness with Monica Adams on KMOX, and a regular contributor to sheknows.com.
